Teteren-Elmina is mainly a fishing community with a youthful population. The community also contributes to the food basket of the country and therefore the need to sensitize the residents of the importance of keeping their environment clean.

The campaign also created a forum where residents interacted with their community heads. The most exciting thing about the forum was the fact that residents pledged to keep their surroundings clean and also practice good hygiene.
Some residents made some recommendations on the floor. Some of which are; parents should be advised not to let their children ease themselves at the dumping site, they advised their local assembly heads to build public toilets for them.
They continued by advising the law enforcement agency to be up to their task by punishing anyone who will break the law.

The assembly member of the community congratulated the students association for taking the bold step to inform the community on the implications of not keeping their environment clean.
