About me

My name is Alfred Godwin Adjabeng, a development consultant with over a decade of experience working across Africa, South East Asia and Europe in climate change, public policy, education, agriculture, environment, and public health. I have consulted for diverse organizations, including the African Union, Africa CDC, GAIN, US Department of State–funded projects, and private sector partners, designing and executing complex, multi-sectoral initiatives from startup through large-scale implementation.

I am the founder of School Farms, a pioneering nonprofit that transforms learning through climate-smart agriculture by integrating greenhouse farming, open-field cultivation, mushroom production, and aquaculture into schools. This model equips students with practical skills, promotes nutrition, and builds climate resilience. I am the founded Africa Carbon Watch, an initiative dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of Africa’s carbon markets and ensuring climate finance directly benefits target communities. I am also the founder of Visit Avatime, a sustainable tourism initiative promoting adventure, culture, and nature in Ghana’s Avatime Traditional Area, driving local economic growth and heritage preservation.

I recently transitioned from my role as Carbon Quality and Integrity Manager for Bridge Carbon, where I oversaw operations in South East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on clean cooking, carbon emissions reduction, and community-driven climate solutions. My professional expertise includes stakeholder engagement, governance reform, impact-driven entrepreneurship, and technology integration in development processes.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Development Studies at the University of Ghana, researching the intersection of improved biomass cookstoves, nature-based solutions, and sustainable clean cooking in Ghana. I hold an MA in Governance & Public Policy from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom on Chevening scholarship, an MA in Development Studies from the University of Ghana, and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Coast.

I am passionate about youth empowerment, climate action, and inclusive growth. I blend field experience with strategic vision, building initiatives that deliver measurable impact while inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
